A Gemini Woman I
hers are the shoulders i most cry on … a friend that stays by my side when others are long gone hers are the arms that comfort me when the storms of life have laid waste to my spirit and destroyed my self-esteem hers are the healing words that my heart gleans to make whole that which has been torn apart she is the one that most touches my heart she’s the light in my life the smile on my face it is through her love that i receive amazing grace this Gemini woman © 3/13/2007 Amias [Table of Contents]
A Gemini Woman II
she’s a light that defines the darkness
the Gemini woman
loves past boundaries
past hopelessness ...
though her youth
were spent in flight
her personality molded in duplicities
she gave birth to seven candle lights
and the pains that pierced her heart
was more than she could bare
when two were snatched from her lair …
for a time her heart was shattered
like the bones beneath her flesh
descending deep into darkness
it was hard for her to fight
so for a season, maybe two
she lost sight of her light
she’s love incarnated
the Gemini woman
like a phoenix she always rise
don't underestimate her strength
by the tears in her soft blue eyes
age and wisdom defines her mind
her candles define her life …
she is more than a mother
or some man’s wife
she’s the light in her family
a gem to her friends
she lives her life quietly
and makes no demands

Odes To My Best Friend I recall the first time our toes Touched the green earth of spring When we visited the butterflies I remember the songs that we sang Eating ice cream in the early morn Waking up just to watch the dawn I remember those days of joy Two friends, two hearts being one I recall our days in the sun I recall the first day I smelled A sweet shrubby bush's flower How it enticed me to dance Around the house for hours Exotic fragrances filled the air Happy thoughts flying everywhere I remember those days of joy Two friends, two hearts being one I recall our days in the sun I recall the first time we traveled I was a stranger from online Your family called to the cabin Making sure you arrived on time We knew the truth still we laughed Because no one could make us sad I remember those days of joy Two friends, two hearts being one I recall our days in the sun Now it seem time is the enemy Oh how I miss that crooked smile Been years since I saw your face Or wiped the tears from your eyes How I miss that Deer Lake swing And being happy with little things I won’t believe those days of joy Are only memories within our heart I won't let distance tear us apart © 2006 Amias [Table of Contents] The Essence Of A Ghost my soul is haunted by the ghost of lost friendship that stalks me like a lover, in the corridors of my mind where memories of laugher shared in the wee hours are replaced with the echoes of love crudely ripped out of the heart by the hands of hatred and the pain of lies. they blanketed my ears with empty words of regret choked by grief they failed me and like a child my soul cried hark; let not this heart close itself to what joy tomorrow may bring to heal its scars in time for spring where hope like life renews itself so that love may live again © 2001 Amias |
